Review: Finding Bigfoot 3-11-12
The team heads to Utah, where they investigate a piece of footage allegedly of a Sasquatch. Some of the team thinks it is a bit ambigious, but of course Ranae says it is most likely a person (which does make sense considering the supposed 'Squatch is too close to the party on the tape). They meet with the videographer who believes it is a 'Squatch, and even Matt asks could it have been a person, one of the group there at the fire. Bobo recreates it, and he of course looks bigger than the figure in the footage. Moneymaker thinks the explanation might be it is a ghost rather than a 'Squatch given the reputation of the valley supposedly being haunted. Well, Matt seems to have changed his mind about what the entity in the footage is (he believes it may be a 'Squatch). The team conducts night investigations the first night, and Matt does a howl. Cliff also lets out a whoop and they hear some sort of a howl and growl. Coyote and/or bear, perhaps? Bobo finds some sort of structure, with a fire put in front of it. It was most likely built by a human, but Matt and Bobo believe a 'Squatch could possibly get under it. Matt decides to stay in the field, while the rest of the team goes to meet with witnesses. So far this episode seems a bit of a let-down, but we will see what happens in the future moments of this episode. The town hall meeting is held, and several witnesses are interviewed and they tell of their sightings. Later on, they do howls and get some sort of response which could possibly be a Sasquatch and not anything else, though it is important to keep in mind what John Green has said in the past, that unidentified sounds are just that, unidentified sounds. All in all, kind of a disappointing end to the season. About a 3 out of 5 stars.

Review: Finding Bigfoot 3-4-12
This week, the team heads to the Hoosier State of Indiana to investigate a piece of footage alleged to be a Sasquatch. The footage was apparently taken in the Indiana Dunes area and shows something, either a Sasquatch or a human in a suit. They apparently find a hotspot in Morgan Monroe State Forest. Cliff has doubts about the authenticity of the footage, but does want to check it out. Ranae thinks it looks like a person in a suit. The family has asked for anonymity, so they have their faces blurred out on TV. They put Bobo in the same position as the alleged Sasquatch, and Bobo looks bigger. Matt does think it is a human and not a Sasquatch. The general consensus of the team is it is a person in a suit, but Cliff believes that the people who took the footage were not in on the hoax. Night operations commence in the State Park, and they do calls, to which they get a response, possibly of a coyote or a wolf. It was a coyote according to the team members. Ranae and Bobo attempt some woodknocking, with no success. The group decides to head to southern Indiana because, in Bobo's words, "Northern Indiana sucked." In Bloomington, they hold a town hall meeting where they get several accounts. Cliff decides to spend a few nights in the woods alone. Cliff does some 'Squatching in a cemetery (which is a good idea considering there have been sightings in cemeteries). He does woodknocking and hears coyotes. He says that is a good sign because that means the food is nearby. The rest of the team goes to meet with the witnesses who claim to have seen Sasquatches in the area. Bobo meets with a hunter who had a sighting, and recreates the sighting for the hunter, who says what he saw was 9 feet tall and jumped a good distance. Bobo is convinced the fellow is telling the truth. Matt and Ranae go to meet with a witness who saw a Sasquatch breaking a freshwater clam open with a rock. The witness Matt and Ranae meet with says what he saw was about 6 1/2-7 feet tall. Ranae inserts her opinion into it and says she does not think it was a Sasquatch that the fellow saw, but might have been a bear. The other three team members other than Cliff meet with a father and daughter who say they saw a Sasquatch. The team does more night operations, where they set off fireworks, which I am not so sure is a good idea, but what do I know? Their results are...well, interesting to say the least. All in all, not too bad an episode this week. I would probably give it about a 4 out of 5 stars. Next week is the Season Finale where they head to Utah, 10:00 EST/9:00 Central on Animal Planet. Review: Finding Bigfoot 2-19-12
The team heads to Kentucky to investigate a piece of footage of eyeshine. Bobo seems convinced that it is a 'Squatch, but Cliff is a bit pragmatic about it, and Ranae seems convinced it could have been done by an owl. Matt seems to be ambivalent that it was a 'Squatch, and also Bobo does acknowledge it COULD have been an owl. Cliff believes it was ambigous at best, but could have been a 'Squatch. In night operations, they hear some kind of sound which sounds like something heavy being dropped. The team scans with a thermal and sees a rodent, but nothing 'Squatchy. Cliff does a call, as does Bobo. They do hear a gunshot. The team decides that discretion is the better part of valor and head out. They decide to go for the town hall meeting approach. But first, they head to see Bobo's cousin and some good ol' boys who make 'shine. The folks they visit have heard strange sounds behind their house, sounds they can't explain, and also have had the cabin peppered with rocks. The team decides to try some of the local adult beverage. Then they go to hold the town hall meeting, where they get several reports. They investigate these reports, more night operations, and...well, another hit and miss episode. Not exactly one of their best. I would give it a 2 1/2 out of 5 stars. Just not a very good one this week. Next week is the Best of Finding Bigfoot, 10:00 EST/9:00 Central on Animal Planet. Check local listings for time and channel.

Review: Finding Bigfoot 2-12-12
The team heads to Washington County, Virginia to investigate The Beast of Gum Hill, with an interesting piece of footage to go with it. The team goes to meet with the man on the ATV in the footage. Ranae is skeptical of the footage because the alleged creature seems to head towards the ATV rider, but some of the other members of the team seem to think that maybe the alleged 'Squatch could not go the other way. The team takes ATVs into the area where the footage was taken. The footage is recreated by Bobo and compared to the footage, and the team thinks that it is possible it was a 'Squatch (all except for Ranae, who thinks it could just be a person in dark clothing). The team conducts night investigations in the area where the footage was shot. The creature has been known in that area for hundreds of years as the "Woodbooger." The team has split into two factions, with Cliff and Ranae on one team, Matt and Bobo on the other, and they are doing calls. No luck on the first night, but Matt decides to go on a solo investigation in the area. Matt finds a cave and crawls into it, but it is empty. Meanwhile, the rest of the team goes to town for a town hall meeting where several raise their hands and tell their tales. Meanwhile, Matt continues his investigation in the caves, hoping a timber rattlesnake doesn't pop up on him. Matt continues his investigation, while the other team members meet with witnesses to 'Squatches and 'Squatch activity. Ranae believes there is a possibility that a young lady who witnessed something may have been pranked by somebody goofing around. Bobo once again steps in with a recreation, and the witness estimates an eight-foot height for what she saw. Ranae questions the young lady and wonders if it might have been a bear she saw. Ranae believes it is a case of overactive imagination. Another witness describes a sighting as well, along with a vocalization. This time Ranae decides to sit in as the possible 'Squatch. Ranae seems to be a bit hard-put to explain what this witness saw, especially after attempting to run down the hill like the alleged 'Squatch did. Bobo interviews another witness and believes he may have seen a 'Squatch. The team maps out a potential investigation area, but decides to use ultraviolet flashlights, which will illuminate a shiny powder on food piles, which results in-well, no spoilers here. All in all, a pretty good episode, 4 out of 5 stars. Next week, the team heads to Kentucky, 10:00 EST/9:00 Central on Animal Planet. Check local listings for time and channel.

Review: Finding Bigfoot: Birth of a Legend
In the first part of the show, the four principals get to go on horseback with Bob Gimlin to the filmsite, where he tells the story on camera of what happened that day. The group does a recreation right on the filmsite, with Bobo acting as the Sasquatch. Next step: investigate the area for sightings now. Also, they will investigate the Marble Mountain footage. The recreation of the P/G Film still shows that there is compelling evidence that the film is real, NOT a man in a costume. Ranae left it a question mark, though. The team goes into nighttime investigation mode, with Bobo's dog Monkey acting as a "Squatch Detector." Matt takes two pieces of wood and hits them together, getting an interesting response. Matt and Ranae hear something which sounds like something high-pitched, like a yell. Cliff does a scream, while Matt does a howl. Cliff stays in the woods for a few more nights alone (except for the camera crew). He sets up game cams in the woods. The rest of the team goes into Willow Creek where they meet with Al Hodgson, who tells of his recollection of meeting Patterson and Gimlin. The team takes a tour of the Willow Creek Museum. They then go to Steven Streufert's Bigfoot Books store. Meanwhile, Cliff decides to scout around the area and see about setting up some more game cams. He finds some bear scat, but no Squatch scat. There is a town hall meeting held in which the two sons of Jerry Crew stand up and show the original Bigfoot cast by their father. Several people stand up and tell of their encounters. They investigate the sightings, and find...well, I won't spoil it for you. All in all, I give this special a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. Pretty good stuff.
